Fine line is a bit off
9:00am Sunday 11th May 2008
I'm writing to complain about your headline, Fine is overturned after driver pleads ignorance' (Times Series, May 1).

Hospital staff were angels
8:00am Saturday 10th May 2008
Despite the many negative reports and comments in regard to Barnet General Hospital, I would like to put in writing how well I was treated from the moment the ambulance arrived at my home, within ten minutes or less, to the time I was admitted to Juniper ward with breathing difficulties owing to Emphysema.

Join war on rubbish
8:00am Saturday 10th May 2008
I live in The Walk, Potters Bar, and am very concerned by the amount of rubbish littering our streets.

More trees for the chop?
9:00am Friday 9th May 2008
Councillor Matthew Offord is to be congratulated on his claimed excellent record he refers to on street tree management in the borough (Trunk road tree felling', Times Series, May 1).

Somali mum is ungrateful
9:00am Friday 9th May 2008
I found your piece on the Somali mother-of-six waiting 13 years for accomodation on Barnet's housing waiting list annoying, to say the least.

Trunk road tree felling
8:13am Thursday 1st May 2008
Barnet Council has an excellent record on tree management and has the highest number of street trees of any London borough therefore I was astounded to read your article Hundreds of trees cut down in environmental crime' (Times Series, April 24).

Being taught a good lesson
8:10am Thursday 1st May 2008
Today's school students are far better informed than they were in the past. It was therefore rather disappointing to see the negative approach expressed in the letter from Harry Ford, Strike not happy for us' (Times Series, April 24). Strikes are not good for anyone. Those taking strike action have to sacrifice their pay and often face public abuse.
