A Hendon man admitted attempting to cause a woman to miscarry at a hearing at the Old Bailey on Friday.
Gil Magira, 35, was charged earlier this year with unlawfully supplying a poison or other noxious substance 'intended to be unlawfully used or employed with intent to procure the miscarriage of a woman'.
He initially denied the offence but today changed his plea before the court.
Magira also lost his effective anonymity after the Times Series presented legal submissions to the judge.
Mr Recorder Oliver Sells QC agreed that a court order applied by a different judge at a previous hearing, which would have prevented Magira from being named, should be amended.
Magira will be sentenced at the Old Bailey in February.
