The Olympic Games in Athens ended with no medals for athletes from Shaftesbury Barnet - but many performances to be proud of.
Lee McConnell, who disappointed in the individual 400m, was in fine form during the 4x400m relay.
She ran the anchor leg as the British team made the final and just missed out on a medal, finishing fourth.
McConnell took the baton in fifth place during Saturday's final and made up a lot of ground, but had far too much to do to move the team into a medal-winning position.
Meanwhile, 4x100m relay squad member Nick Smith had to watch from the sidelines as his team-mates won a surprise gold.
Smith was a reserve in Athens and did not get the chance to compete.
Sprinter Abi Oyepitan said she was pleased with her performance in the 200m final, but admitted it had been one race too many for her.
"I was just so tired and had nothing else to give," she said, after finishing joint seventh in a time of 22.87sec.
Javelin thrower Nick Nieland failed to join Steve Backley in the final.
