RUGBY: Finchley remain on course for the London Division Four North West title.
They saw off Haringey 68-12 on Saturday and are three points clear at the top of the table with just three games to go.
There are three teams all on 19 points immediately below them, with Old Ashmoleans sitting in second place following their 38-13 win over Old Hamptonians.
And much may be sorted out this weekend, with the top four sides playing each other.
Finchley host third-placed Hemel Hempstead, while Old Ashmoleans travel to fourth-placed Grasshoppers.
Meanwhile, Barnet Elizabethans, who are fifth, looked to have blown their chance of lifting the title.
They are on 16 points, the Byng Road outfit going down 32-14 at home to Grasshoppers.
Barnet travel to Haringey this Saturday, a team sitting one place below them in the league table.
Meanwhile, Hendon put in a superb performance to see off Watford 27-3 in Herts/Middx Division Two North.
Winger Anthony Anyim was the hero with a hat-trick of tries.
Hendon host promotion hopefuls Old Haberdashers this Saturday.
Mill Hill, who travel to Cheshunt this weekend, were 22-5 winners over Old Tottonians.
CYCLING: Finchley Racing Team got the 2008 London racing scene off to a cracking start with an afternoon of competition at the Hillingdon Circuit in West London.
More than 150 riders took part, with races for juveniles, veterans, class 3/4 and elite riders.
Best performance for Finchley RT came from Andy Cullinane, who claimed a fine sixth spot in the veterans' race.
Finchley RT will be sending strong teams to races in the London area throughout the season, as well as hosting two more races during the year. They are looking to improve on last season's bag of eight wins.
GOLF: Hendon GC celebrated the inauguration of its incoming male and female captains on Sunday with a round in fancy dress,
Martin Gavin and Dianna Rowlands teeing off first.
WOMEN'S FOOTBALL: Hendon Ladies were beaten 5-0 at home to Ebbsfleet, Kirsten Thompson being sent off.
However, the reserves saw off BA 3-0, Charlotte Copeland (2) and Ayo Okunuga on target.
